2 x vinyl LP. Daniel Lapotin’s seventh album under the guise of Oneohtrix Point Never, and his second for Warp.
Having come to prominence at the end of the noughties, his music helped define and enrich the nascent chillwave and hypnagogic pop scenes. The use of vintage synths further serve to reinforce the sense that when listening to his music you are channelling distant childhood memories for those of the cold war generation, for others it might offer a vision of the future. Garden of Delete signalled a change in direction, taking in grunge and nu-metal influences to create a more abrasive, industrial sound that was, nevertheless, just as engaging as his previous albums.
Originally released 2015.
