Mike Lindsay, co-founder of folktronica legends Tunng, summons the perfect, chilling accompaniment to Rupert Russell’s The Last Sacrifice – a sinister true crime tale whose echoes can still be heard in our culture today. Folk horror in audio form!
The excellent and imaginitively compiled documentary deals with a notorious and unsolved murder that occured in the months following the end of the Second World War, and provided the inspiration for the seminal 1973 film The Wicker Man.
